Database Design and Development

Technology is a crucial component of an application, but it is the accuracy and consistency of the information provided that determines its success. Map It Out provides database administrators and GIS data analysts in the implementation of a geodatabase. In addition, spatial database components, such as SDE or Oracle Spatial, have been implemented for many of our clients and in our Web based applications. Along with the implementation of a geodatabase we can assist with needs assessment, diagramming data models, performing data conversion, and training users.

GIS Data Conversion

Map It Out converts legacy GIS data into modern GIS formats. Data translation services are available with custom GDAL/OGR scripts plus conversion availability from paper to digital formats.

Mobile Data Collection

Our developers have deployed data transfer, field analysis, data collection, and location based solutions. Mobile GIS solutions developed on hardware giants such as Trimble, DAP, Panasonic and Xplorer. Mobile development includes the interaction of Bluetooth technology to external hardware such as cameras, scanners and GPS.
